Landscape Mulch

Mulch that is attractive and durable.

Many homeowners and businesses have found mulch provides a neat and tidy appearance for gardens and landscapes.

What they may not realize is that there are a number of benefits to landscape mulch in addition to its appearance.

Landscape mulch helps to keep moisture in the soil where plants and trees need it. And during our hot Midwest summers it helps keep the soil cooler thus reducing heat stress on plants. It also slows the erosion of topsoil.

And by using our landscape mulch you’ll help to prevent weeds from becoming a nuisance. Your environment will look better and you won’t have to pull weeds as often.

There are two main types of wood mulch, colored processed wood and natural wood.

Addoco’s colored mulch is made by adding dye to ground up processed wood such as pallets or lumber. In fact, its one of the ways our pallet recycling program helps to find other uses for damaged wood pallets that would otherwise end up in landfills. Our wood mulch decomposes slower so it lasts longer than bark mulch.

Our colored landscape mulch adds to the aesthetics of your landscape.

We offer five vibrant natural colors:

Red, Gold, Brown, Black and Walnut colored mulch.

How much mulch do I need?

Landscape mulch is generally laid at a depth of 3” deep; if you are refreshing mulch from previous years 2” would be sufficient.

Calculation for Cubic Yards:

Depth of mulch 2" 3" 4" Divide by

Length (in feet) X Width (in feet) 0.16 0.25 0.33 27

Example: you have a 10’ x 10’ area you would like to mulch at 3" deep

10 x 10 x .25 ÷ 27 = .93 (1 CY will cover your area)

Our landscape mulch is available for pickup or delivery

When hauling your mulch, each cubic yard is approximately 500 lbs. The standard 6’ truck bed can hold 2 CY of mulch. The standard 8’ truck bed can hold 3 CY of mulch.

We have delivery available for anywhere from 1 cubic yard up to 80 cubic yards which is delivered in our walking floor semi trailer.
